This picture was taken before 1910, probably in Connecticut. 
The back row (from left) is Rob Aiken (husband of Gen’s Aunt Theresa), Theresa, and we can’t identify the last two women though they do appear in other pictures, so they’re probably relatives.
Front row (from left): Uncle Tommy and Aunt Ane [Angela]—two of Gen’s siblings, Gen, and Grandpop Chief. 
We’re not sure when Gen and Frank first met. Gen’s family (Kirwans) lived in downtown Brooklyn, but her grandparents (O’Connors) lived near Dora & Frank Shields around Fifth Ave and 88th St. So they probably knew each other for years before they got married in 1915. Kee Malesky once asked Gen how they met, but she couldn’t remember.
